Our Story

Welcome to Cha den-nosuke, where we bring the beauty of Japanese tea to life.

For generations, Shizuoka has been cherished as one of Japan’s most iconic tea regions—a place where the tea’s clear, gentle green hue, its soft yet expressive aroma, and the distinct character of each landscape come together to create something truly special.

Yet today, many of the communities that once supported this tradition are quietly fading, as aging farmers step away from their fields and tea production continues to decline. The loss is not only agricultural—it is the fading of a way of life shaped by care, craftsmanship, and the rhythm of the seasons.

To breathe new life into these tea-growing regions and carry their stories into the future, we hope to share the depth and beauty of Japanese tea with the wider world. Our journey begins in the heart of Shizuoka Prefecture—in the cities of Fujieda and Shimada—where the spirit of tea culture still lingers in the air, and where the people who nurture it continue to pass on their quiet passion, one leaf at a time.
